INTERFACE Tourism, a Hopscotch agency, Sees Mauritius Rewarded for its “Vivez notre île” Promotional Campaign

Hospitality Awards:

Mauritius Rewarded for its “Vivez notre île” Promotional Campaign

The 23rd Hospitality Awards were held in Paris on Thursday, November 9. Created in 2000 by Hospitality ON and made up of an international jury of about forty people from the worlds of business, the tourism industry, and communications, this award showcases the initiatives of the hotel industry worldwide. For the first time this year, destinations were able to compete in a brand-new category: “Destination Media Campaign”.

Mauritius, the winner of this category, is delighted with this distinction; it positions the destination as a dynamic and innovative player, while rewarding a collective and collaborative effort. The “Vivez notre île” campaign is, in fact, the fruit of a public-private partnership and the commitment and participation of all the representative offices of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.

“Vivez notre île”, the Mauritian anthem

The “Vivez notre île” campaign is an invitation to discover the unique and intense energy of Mauritius.

At once soothing, unusual, and conducive to adventure, Mauritius is the ideal place to soak up all the positive energies, (re)connect with what’s essential and feel free. Mountains, lagoons, waterfalls, beaches, national parks and bustling markets… all spots where you can feel alive, rejuvenated by nature or rich in encounters. “More than just a visit or an ordinary vacation, we want travellers to soak up the unique energy that sets Mauritius apart from other destinations,” says Arvind Bundhun, Director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.

To inspire and convince future travelers, the campaign unveils beautiful images highlighting the diversity of experiences to be had, the inland, the cultural melting pot, but most of all, its local population, the backbone of the tourism industry. Mauritians are warm and welcoming, and are the ambassadors of this campaign.
