HOPSCOTCH Season (formerly Sopexa) organizes “Cheese Fest”, the world’s largest cheese festival

For the second consecutive year, HOPSCOTCH Season (formerly Sopexa) has designed and organized its “Cheese Fest”, the region’s largest international Cheese Festival. The Cheese Fest has welcomed 12 different brands: USDEC (Cheeses from USA), Le Petit Beret, CNIEL (Cheeses from Europe), Lactalis, Savencia, Lune de Miel, Perrier, GiffardVache qui Rit, Kiri, Bord Bia (Cheeses from Ireland) – and over 13 stations with cheese based recipes from all over the world (Italian, Arabic, Greek, Indian, Swiss, South American…). 

The festival included several activities such as cheese pairing, discovering Ireland through an Irish dance class and an interview with a cheese maker. Unique and challenging games, and meetings with chefs from all over the world. Visitors could also take part in demonstrations and mocktail tastings, cheesecake tastings, blind cheese tastings, etc. 

The event has also been designed to be family-friendly with games, drawings, petting zoo and even a mobile tattoo station with the cheesiest designs!

This second edition was a massive success with almost 4,000 participants in one day, and a real digital and media craze.
