Benoît Désveaux
Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of Hopscotch Groupe
Benoît Désveaux is co-founder, Managing Director and one of three members of the Board of Directors of Hopscotch Groupe He works directly with our clients, drawing on his experience in innovative communications and his sense of strategic commitment.
Benoît founded Délires in 1986 with Frédéric Bedin and his brother Gilbert Désveaux. The agency intuitively combines event planning, PR campaigns, and in the near future, digital services. Hopscotch Groupe joined forces with Promo 2000, rebranding as Le Public Système in 1993 and as Hopscotch in 2015. In so doing, the group is helping develop professions dedicated to new community marketing.
Benoît relishes developing public interest projects within Hopscotch Groupe, such as La Semaine du Goût [Flavour Week] and Revolution@Work, and helped spearhead Solutions COP21 in 2015. Indeed, he has worked extensively to educate the world of communications about issues around sustainable development. He also founded Eco-Evénement, a working group bringing together seven professional associations in the events sector, which has produced an eco-events charter and guide. Under Benoît’s leadership, Hopscotch Groupe is one of the only major French companies to have achieved the demanding ISO 20121 certification for responsible events.
Benoît is also Vice-Chair of Syntec Conseil en Relations Publics [Syntec Conseil PR Union]; he is currently campaigning for recognition of the value of a company’s reputation, and therefore the strategic importance of aligning words with deeds, namely good practice, commitments, and an ethical relationship with the environment.
Benoît has a taste for strong methods to evolve in complexity thanks to his engineering studies at EFREI University. He finds inspiration from architecture, contemporary dance, sailing, and walking.
