HOPSCOTCH Groupe confirms its global approach to societal innovation by having Hopscotch Moments, Hopscotch Luxe, and Hopscotch Congrès ISO 20121 certified by Bureau Veritas
On June 6, Hopscotch Moments, Hopscotch Luxe, and Hopscotch Congrès, Hopscotch Groupe’s events agencies, obtained the ISO 20121 certification for their responsible management system applied to the events business from Bureau Veritas, confirming the group’s strategy of societal innovation.
HOPSCOTCH Groupe has always been a forerunner, obtaining the BS 8901 certification in 2011 (the inspiration for ISO 20121) from the French office BSI Group (British Standards Institution), creator of this standard. This certification was obtained by the Public Système teams working on the launch of Renault’s first electric vehicle ranges.
In 2020, after being awarded the ISO 20121 certification for its 13th event with La REF (l’Université d’été du MEDEF), HOPSCOTCH Groupe stepped up its commitment by achieving this certification for its event activities via its agencies HOPSCOTCH Event and Sagarmatha.
Today, HOPSCOTCH Moments, HOPSCOTCH Luxe, and HOPSCOTCH Congrès have obtained the certification, making their policy of integrating sustainable development throughout communications campaigns and events produced by their teams more transparent.
The strengths of the agencies highlighted by Bureau Veritas are the SMR (responsible management system) steering tool, the network of ISO referents, the é(CO)2 carbon tool, team motivation, and the commitment of management to these issues.
With this new award, all HOPSCOTCH Group event agencies now benefit from the ISO 20121 certification.
“With this certification of all HOPSCOTCH Groupe event agencies, we will further strengthen our knowledge and dialogue with our clients and partners. I particularly appreciate the principle of continuous improvement in this standard, and the ambition to fully integrate our duty of inclusion, integrity, vigilance, and transparency.” Isabelle Luoni, Director of Global Performance, HOPSCOTCH Groupe.
ISO 20121, A Demanding Standard for the Events Industry
The ISO 20121 standard provides requirements and implementation recommendations for planning and implementing responsible events. It applies to an organization’s operations and assesses the extent to which a project considers the three pillars of sustainable development: environmental, societal, and economic issues.
This certification is granted to the agency for the next three years, with annual control audits. Agencies are thus committed to a process of continuous improvement in terms of social and environmental issues.
“With this new award, all Hopscotch event agencies now benefit from ISO 20 121 certification. This certification is part of Hopscotch’s progress approach, initiated over twenty years ago, to meet our clients’ expectations in terms of integrating environmental and societal issues into their events.” declares Benoît Désveaux, Managing Director of HOPSCOTCH.
